It was a beautiful sunny day in September that started with “getting ready” pictures at Chris’s parents house in Kerrisdale.(an awesome house!)
Hair people were a bit behind, so i caught up with my friend and makeup artist Hayley Miller while we were waiting for Season to be done. After a brief talk, Season was finally ready!
Makeup began and the photos started.
An hour + later, we were on our way downtown to meet Father Dion and witness an amazing ceremony at Holy Rosary Cathedral church. Once the service was over Season and Chris were wisked away in a stylish Bentley with bridal party in tow and headed into the downtown core for more picture taking.
After a few stops taking beautiful pictures with scenic Vancouver backdrops, we all headed over to QE park where the reception was being held at Seasons in the park.
How fitting, since our bride was named Season. The expansive city skyscape and the gorgeous park setting offered an amazing backdrop for the family portraits.
Once we were done with that , we entered the restaurant and it looked INCREDIBLE!
Season really went all out with her “enchanted forest” theme. Crystals+candles+flowers with royal purple accents just set off the mood that you just knew that this was going to be a fun night.
Many courses of food and many toasts followed with joy and laughter. Along with dancing.
A great time was had by all!

August 15th was the special day for Shannon and Mike’s nuptuals. After some “getting ready” pix at a hotel in Langley, bride and groom with entourage in tow boarded a very cool bus/limo to take them to a family friends house/farm in Aldergrove. Seeing that i had never been to this property before i didn’t know what to expect. WOW!! what a great surprise! The location was just unreal,so many beautiful backdrops wherever we went on the property.
The weather held up, although i must say that it did look like thunder showers were going to hit right before the ceremony began. But…….the rain never came and the day turned out to be glorious with lotsa sunshine. The florals came out super nice and they were from Blundell Blossoms in Richmond, the girls hair and makeup as well came out lovely and that thank you belongs to Yasiv Marin and Melanie Bosse. Another special element to the wedding day that had enormous impact on the bride was Shannon’s wedding dress. Many years before ever meeting Mike, Shannon knew that when her day had come, her wedding dress must be made of lace just like the one her mom wore on her wedding day. Believe it or not, Shannon’s mom with the help of her mother (grandma) took her own (moms) dress apart and redesigned it with additional lace that grandma had saved. With the help of family friends Shannon’s dream wedding dress was born:) When i heard the story, i thought that this was a very special element that i wanted to share on my blog. Mike and the guys were decked out in tuxes by Western tux. Lotsa fun, drinking ,dancing and eating were had by all. This country wedding was a wedding to remember!

Meet Megan and Chris, a fun loving couple who are at all times ready for spontaneity! They chose STEVESTON fishing village with all the old cannery buildings as their backdrop. Both Megan and Chris were at all times ready for anything that i suggested. Can’t wait for the wedding day next year as i know due to their outgoing personalities and eagerness to get the shot we will have a blast!
Heat Wave…………”Pride weekend”…………….= A Beautiful wedding day!
Well Vancouver could of possibly been about 100 degrees that day. We caught up with Mirela and Nin at the Listel hotel on Robson St for our “getting ready” segment of photo coverage.
We got a little unexpected bonus of watching the parade from Mirela’s room ,which was situated in a perfect spot overlooking Robson st. Between shots, we had the opportunity to see the VERY colorful floats go by.Mirela got her stunning dress at the bridal gallery. She looked so beautiful!Pamper me pretty did an awesome job with the hair and makeup. After about an hour or so, we met up with the bridal party and headed towards Coal Harbour for our next location shoot. From there we went to the new convention centre for a few more pix.The bridal party left us and went up to Grouse mountain to meet and greet the guests as Mirela,Nin and myself would be arriving soon after in a helicopter making our grand entrance.Boy! was it ever a grand entrance-just like a hollywood scene from a movie.
As we approached the mountain we could see all the guests waving and getting excited for our arrival. Within 20-30 min, the couple was on their way to tying the knot infront of approx 150+ guests. After the ceremony,we continued on with family and friend pictures and then sat down for the dinner reception. It was a fun filled eve with good food, good wine and lotsa dancing.Mirela and Nin were a delight to work with and had beaming smiles the entire day:)
